Can a physician be held liable for any damages for committing medical malpractice on a patient who was orignally injured through another physician's medical malpractice?

that's a question that can better be answered by an attorney who practices in medical malpractice in your state. most will do a consultation for free.

I would imagine so. Just because the patient was previously a victim of medical malpractice, doesn't mean that they cannont be subject to another one. It would be a complicated litigation process though. You would have to determine who is liable for the second injury, the first or second doctor.
However, a jury may question whether the injuries are legitimate or if the patient is just lawsuit happy.
Best to consult a lawyer.
