my mom went to a lawyer about a medical malpractice case, The lawyer went over all the medical records as did a Dr, and they came to the conclusion she in fact has a case. What is the average length of time to settle a malpractice case. This is in the state of Mass if that matters

Depends on the lawyers. If they settle, it mights be months. If they actually go to court, it could be years.
