Someone in Michigan recently told me that people can no longer file suit against someone or entity for medical malpractice in the state of Michigan. This sounds absurd. I'm guessing that there might have been some changes made with regard to limitations, but nothing this extreme. I need a specific answer.

Yes they have changed, the one thing I remember is that there is a time limit in order to file suit. I think there was a form of tort reform also, but check with www.mi.gov. for more information.
