Yes. But you don't need to hire a lawyer to find out the exact amount of time. Go online and look up in the California statues, you'll get your answer on how long of time you have. Then consider a lawyer, don't pay for something you can look up yourself, just type in your web browser, California Statutes, and then serch term 'medical malpractice/statute of limitations' Most states have a 2 year limit, but the important part of this is it is usually from the 'DATE OF DISCOVERY' so keep that in mind. good luck
