Do you think more people will terminate themselves as a result of Madoff Ponzi scheme?
Do you think someone who suffered from the scheme could file a successful lawsuit against the SEC for negligence and dereliction of duty??

No, this isn't japan. And most have a lot of dough hidden away, and plenty of places to run to and hide!

That would be a terrible tragedy, one suicide is enough.
But I'd really like to know where they money went?
Who "madoff" with the money?
Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas!

It is unfortunate that an middleman investor couldn't bear his situation and took his own life. Even though he had done no wrong, he could not bear the guilt of what happened to his clients.
Some people take their job very seriously when they are dealing with "other people's money".
On the other hand, we have folks like Madoff that admitted to wrong doing, but, does not appear to have any remorse. Madoff is out on bail.
These situations in addition to the wall street meltdown, bailout, and generous bonuses may make people think twice where they put their money.
