what do i need to take to become a medical assistant? what are some good colleges to go check out? i live in baton rouge la if you know of any good colleges. i already had one bad run in with a wanna be college and i dont want to repeat that expensive mistake! itt tech will pass anyone for profit and you will learn absolutely nothing! any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

i dont live in baton rouge but i know you will need to look for a technical school-like two year school that has been around for longer than a few years. ask for placements rates from that school's medical assistant programs, usually it will not be the most expensive school out there. you can also contact your Department of Labor in Louisiana or WIA program and ask for a referral list of recommended schools.
