I am constantly talking about the negative issues in Altmed. But today I feel somewhat different and want to look in the mirror.
Does our scientific behaviour prevent us from making mistakes? I don't think so, for we are very well educated and trained to make no mistakes
@Soup, you are so full of yourself you are not answering my question. Please learn to listen first.

I'll bet they know more people who've avoided being seriously ill because of medical care.

Finally you look in the mirror. And be serious, you never tried Reiki,
and if you did, you want to hide it for your peers, because you still feel insecure.

Yes I do. VERY seriously. And the hospital tried to hide the records. The person is totally disabled now because a doctor injected a medicine into his cerebral spinal fluid for imaging purposes that wasn't supposed to be placed in there.
Yes I do. I get to read doctor dictations and care summary reports on a regular basis at my job and it is appalling how many people they "kill" or let die. And I can't say anything because of privacy laws.
Yes I do. Not so seriously, but VERY shameful. My own mother. Had a mild stroke because her doctor at the time couldn't put 2 and 2 together and recognize her risks and do a carotid doppler BEFORE. Which shows a total lack of common sense. And when she was in the hospital for this stroke...they kept on running CAT scans rather than an MRI and so denying that she had a stroke -until I insisted on an MRI. And again, ANOTHER doctor there, telling me that I didn't know what a seizure looked like and that my mom could NOT be having one because she was "in the therapeutic range" for her ant-seizure med (the stroke was causing the seizures). Luckily, the next time she started having seizure, the doctor was in the hallway and I dragged him into the room by his coat sleeve to see it for himself. I could go on and on about this ONE hospitalization for my mother. It was horrific and included many different 'professionals' -not just one.

Many other stories regarding myself and my father and grandmother's experiences. Maybe not so serious outcomes as disability or death, but just plain stupidity.

I will NEVER let one of my family members spend too much time alone in a hospital.
