Law schools admit students with degrees in every possible major. Do whatever you like. If you just want to get a solid background, do political science, history and English.

Don't worry you will have a student adviser that will help you and lead you to the classes that you will need and also the classes that will Transfer to other colleges.

I can't tell you what your major should be, but my brother majored in political science and then went on to be on the Law Review at Harvard Law School and become a successful lawyer.
He also considered American History and just plain History as majors.
He took a course in "Narrative Writing" and tons of Political Science as well as the Political Philosophy sequence and a few courses in Philosophy. We went to the same school and while he was an undergrad I was first a junior, then a senior, and then did two years of grad school in mathematics, so I was quite familiar with his coursework. I was an undergrad there two years before him and a grad student there years after he left, picking up a doctorate in mathematics.
