My son was born dead from a lack of oxygen at birth due to medical neglect/malpractice. Anyway he was revived 3 times his first day of life. After years of going to specialists it was finally determined he has brain damage on his frontal lobe - they have no idea why he doesn't have cerebral palsy. He also has a condition where he doesn'tr feel pain ONLY on a skin level. And I think he has seizures every once in a blue moon - he has had like 4 or 5 "episodes" where he becomes almost violent, has a very blank look on his face, says the same things over and over, and then later he doesn't remeber what happened.
What do I do? Or anyone have any ideas of what is wrong?
He is completely developmentally fine - no problems whatsoever in school or anywhere - he is extremely intelligent as well.
A neurologist had said he has no idea what's wrong with him - he has never seen anything like it and says my son is a miracle child.

My advice is to take him to a neurologist. I've got no clue, but if it was due to malpractice/neglect,i hope to GOD you got something for that. I know I lost a pregnancy at 20 weeks, and bled for 6 months after and almost died, and I couldn't do anything. ANyways,I"m sorry, that doesn't have anything to do with your question lol just a malpractice issue I had. I would take him to a neurologist, and see what types of testing they can do,and what all they can tell you. It sounds like it would be better handled by a neurologist.

Those episodes you described 'he ...has a very blank look on his face, says the same things over and over...doesn't remember what happened' sound like a form of epilepsy. Have him seen by a paediatric neurologist and have an EEG ( ElectroEncephaloGraph) performed on him.
I know a boy, now 13, who was born prematurely and not expected to live ( the parents were told he had brain damage); yet he did. He walks and talks like any other child. He has many types of epilepsy and is on medication for it. As you say about your child, this child I know is very bright too.
