It all depends on the jurisdiction that you are in. Most court's (judges) have discretion to deny motions for new trials if there is no showing of new evidence or if there is no gross manifestations of injustice. Need to check with new attorney in your state about what your options are. Of course, you may always take an appeal of the trial outcome and in some cases may also appeal the judge's ruling based on a abuse of discretion although this is difficult to prove. Good luck.
