Im 17 and i was wondering if i can move out of my parents house. I live in Texas.
I have a full time job, and im out of school (ged). I pay for my car, insurance, and make enough to pay rent/bills/food. Though, i would not have parental consent. I plan to get a apartment with a friend (hes over 18 and can sign for the apartment)
Ive tried looking this up on the internet and ive found both answers. So im looking for a police officer, lawyer or attorney or anyone who would know for sure because i DO NOT want to get arrested for runaway

To be safe, you should look into emancipating yourself from your parents, to be declared legally independent. The court will want proof that you are able to support yourself.

Without your parents cutting you off and making you move or, legally emancipating yourself there is no way to do this without being in trouble....
Plus you would be in trouble for truancy because we all know you wouldn't be going to school.

You are able to move out of your parents house if you are 17, but only if you take all of your belongings with you. If you just leave but don't take all of your all of your belongings with you, your parents are able to call the police and report you as a run away.
