I recently had a dentist do work on my mouth that I did not wish done. I have contacted 3 local attornies and they will not do a dentist lawsuit - say they are hard to prove and I'm sure not as much money to be gained as in a medical lawsuit. Would love to hear your stories and all the facts.
Also, in this area, dentists do not want to testify against another dentist. It is like a brothers code or something. I had a problem with that 40 years ago and it is still happening today.

You did not spoke exactly the incorrect procedure your dentist did. Of course, a dentist can be taken court. I do not know how your country's judicial status is, but a good attorney with good evidence counteracted by another private dentist can prove him incorrect or wrong in his procedure.
These attorneys are not lawyers, for every lawyer are trained to put any unlawful deeds in the court of law. Find that Attorney that will sue the negligent dentist, use your internet and chat online with one.
