The victim's obituary reads Robin Lowe, a 24 year old 30 weeks pregnant in for dehydration, vomiting, stomach pain, due to give birth in August of 2006. The nurse inserted Robin's feeding tube into her IV and it killed the baby girl and Robin within hours and yet the nurse was still allowed her nursing licence, after a year ,and no manslaughter charges were brought against the nurse even though she had NO DOCTOR'S ORDER for the procedure she was doing with the feeding tubes and IV and it killed Robin and her baby. Robin had a young son and husband. Kansas Board of Nursing made a judgement to allow this nurse, SMM to still practice nursing here, how many people can a nurse kill due to "gross negligence" before they are convicted of murder or manslaughter??? That is my question. No one is safe with judgements like that I was told by a nurse who was working at that hospital when SMM ignored verifying a doctors order or watched what she was doing. I heard she wasn't even IV certified. This has shaken alot of people who are lucky enough to hear about it.

"gross negligence cases pay 10X damages, get lawyers. sue. the board of directors will get rid of the problem.

Say, you just catching on to this? This is a daily occurrence everywhere. The last place you want to be is an American hospital if you must go have someone watching out for you. Just questioning each step of the process and each medicine will help the nurses spot mistakes.
