There is no definite answer for this, it really depends on the person, and what they feel comfortable with....Their responsibilities varies on what they like to take on or what they studied to. Say you studied something to do with family matters, so most of your cases will have family oriented issues. In the end, it's up to you.

They're free to work wherever they want. However, 99% of the attorneys I know maintain a formal office - either with a law firm or their own in an office building - and then also have a small home office that they can work from in evenings or on weekends.
