I'm doing a little comedic comic about a doctor who is letting a patient know of their condition and that they are going to die.
So I need an injury or disease for the patient to have where they are still conscious in the hospital but going to die.
I need the doctor to explain the injury/disease to them in huge medical terms that no normal person would understand, so giving me a good, huge-word paragraph explaining the injury would be very hepful :)
Thanks in advance! If you need more details, let me know!

Using the late Steve Jobs as an inspiration..... he could have Islet-cell pancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma with hepatic metastases - which are contraindications to a pancreaticoduodenectomy. He could undergo systemic peptide receptor radionuclide therapy to shrink the tumors if the FDA hadn't been so slow in approving the radionuclide lutetium-177 for theraputic use (and he didn't have spare change to be treated in Basel, Switzerland like Jobs did)
....I could rabbit on for hours, but come to think of it, that's not really funny, is it?

On November 16, 2006, Alan "Hammer" Bloore suffered a very high complete spinal cord injury in a boating accident. At that time, despite considerable efforts, Medical Science left no hope that Alan would ever walk again. On March 22, 2011, Hammer visited Berkeley Bionics to try their eLEGS bionic exoskeleton, and the rest is history.
