They told that there was complications during the birth. They were going to deliver him no matter what the doctor said. C-section, whatever they had to do, they were going to get him out. All of a sudden my son's heart rate crashed. They put the air tube into his stomach instead of his lungs. The oxygen that didn't get to his brain when he was first born caused brain damage. They came out and said your son has had some complications, he's on a respirator, this, that, and the other thing. He had been out of his mom for about an hour. Basically he was diagnosed then with Cerebral Palsy. He doesn't walk, talk. He had a feeding tube. The whole 9 yards. He wasn't able to function on his own at all.
