my wife was hospitalized about 12 years
ago for valley fever on july 17th 2010 she noticed that a foreign body was purtruding out of her chest she went to a near by er and they said it was skin cancer she then seen her family doctor that had said it was a residual foreign body she then had the site biopsyed and the report came back positive for a foreign body of a catheter cuff from a central line that she had from the 12 year old hospitalization does she have a case.

Can you prove the source of it? If yes I'd think so.

She certainly does. She should, at the very least, recover all costs for her time and expenses associated with this foreign object being left in her. Seek out an attorney.

A case maybe, in time probably not, I would just bet the statute of limitations has expired on this, only way to know for sure is call and attorney and you're going to need LOTS of detailed documentation.

I'm no lawyer but, yeah, certainly sounds like the basis of a malpractice suit to me.
