i had my son 8 months ago and as a result of medical negligence i ended up with a rectovaginal fistula and have to have reconstructive surgery in december i was wondering what to expect with the surgery and if anyone has ever pursued a negligence case against an OB dr and how it turned out

I did not pursue any kind of case against my doctors, though I did have surgery to repair from a rectovaginal fistula. The day of the surgery was very difficult. It was much more painful than the original injury had been. However, I didn't have a baby to take care of and could just sleep with the help of pain medication. I noticed that my rvf symptoms were gone by the second day. I also felt much better as far as pain. Even though that first day was bad, I felt much better very soon after and it was much easier overall than recovering from childbirth had been.
